Monterey's Fisherman's Wharf was built in 1846 to accommodate trading vessels. Today, the focus has changed, but the wharf is still a working pier. The wharf is one of the best places to buy fresh fish, and outstanding restaurants and nautical shops draw visitors year round.

Art on the Wharf is carrying on the tradition of professional and aspiring local artists of all ages in a multitude of mediums.
Art on the Wharf promotes and showcases the artistic community of the Monterey Peninsula by giving them an outlet to showcase their talent while at the same time inspiring the next generations of artists.
