Lemhi County is the birthplace of Sacajawea, a Lemhi-Shoshone woman who played an integral part in helping Lewis and Clark reach the Pacific Ocean and back. The museum explores the Lewis and Clark Expedition and also contains a sizeable collection of Lemhi-Shoshone artifacts.
