The Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium was opened in 1955 to celebrate Alberta's 50th anniversary as a province. The facility, along with its northern counterpart in Edmonton, was then upgraded during the year of Alberta's centennial, 2005. Throughout the year the stage teems with numerous productions of ballet, opera, musical theatre, concerts and more, all taken in from more than 2,700 seats, none of them with a bad view. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster (403 777-0000).

This showcase promises a plethora of varied and dynamic performances from some of Albertas most accomplished and promising artists. An exciting and unique collection of music pieces and dance showcasing Fire Gypsies, Belly Dancing, Bollywood, Chinese Folk, Russian Folk, Hip hop, Contemporary, Aerialists, just to name a few. ONE Rhythm of World Dance portrays a beautiful relationship between the different cultures and forms. Like a jigsaw puzzle, the series of performances will piece together seamlessly to provide entertaining rhythms of world dance.

This unique show will provide an opportunity for audiences to extend their horizons beyond their boundaries of culture to experience other cultures of the world. ONE Rhythm of World Dance will create visual and physical discovery by creating fascinating works of integrated dance forms of movement art and in turn giving the audience a unique experience of world dance.

Come out to this amazing world arts performance and help support a charity: The Calgary SCOPE Society: working with
children, adults and seniors with developmental disabilities.

The following societies CSPG, CSEG and APEGGA (CSPG - Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists, CSEG - Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists, and APEGGA - The Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta) present the Honorary Address a public outreach.


The Honorary Address is an annual public educational event hosted by the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists and the Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists that began in the 1960s. It consists of a series of technically relevant presentations geared at informing people of all ages about earth science issues from the past, present and future. The Honorary Address not only reaches out to youth to encourage an interest in earth sciences but also attempts to bridge a gap between the geosciences community and the general public in order to provide individuals with pertinent technical facts for informed decision making. This event provides a forum for insightful thought, engaging questions and the ever important opportunity to never stop learning.
