January 2011 — "They have been there as long as I have been in Calgary (11 years) and seem to enjoy their job. Friendly and even when I lose I walk out having a good time. If I want to lay back and listen to music or watch the game this is the place... I am thinking of playing poker next time... hope I don't lose my shirt."

October 2008 — "I visited the Elbow River Casino with my sister and father, my father has a chronic problem which makes walking particulary painful, We spoke with staff at Guest Services and were particulary impressed with the service of the young lady. She spoke with her manager to see if he could assist us and help us with any difficulties we may enounter. Her manager came to see us and made us roar with laughter, both of them were wonderfully helpful, they brought us the wheelchair and the manager even walked around the casino with us to ensure that we were having a good time and to see if dad was ok. Thanks Elbow River Casino, keep up the good work."

"Great Poker, and Now with NO Smoking!"

April 2008 — "As of this writing, Elbow is still the premiere casino for poker in the city of Calgary. Waiting lists to get on any of their poker tables regularly run over 20 people long, but the action makes it worth the wait. If you're new to the game you might want to try your luck at a Grey Eagle or Cash Casino, but if you're looking for a challenge by all means test your luck. Beyond the poker room, Elbow has a decent restaurant and lounge, and a very accommodating high limit area."
