The Chateau Dufresne was built in 1916 by Marius Dufresne and Jules Renard,a Parisian architect. This luxury 42-room mansion was inspired by the Petit Trianon in Versailles. This building and its contents were restored in 1976 and declared a historical monument. Today it houses a museum dedicated to the history of Montreals east end.
