July 2011 — "Gowlland Tod Park is spectacular and offers walking and hiking experience for all levels of experience. We wanted a little exercise but didn't want to put on the hiking boots so we stayed away from the paths that meander up to the top of the mountain, but even at that, we ended up on a long, winding path that lead us through westcoast vegetation and tall trees. The paths are well marked and there was no fear of getting lost. We didn't see alot of people even though it was a beautiful day and enjoyed the quiet of the forest. At one point we came across a waterfall. After walking for about half an hour we crested a hill to find a fabulous view of Finlayson Arm. There was a path down to the ocean but we chose to sit and enjoy our lunch taking in the spectacular view and watching the boats on the bay. I will look forward to exploring some of the other paths. "

This park is a base for many recreational opportunities including hiking, wildlife viewing and picnicking. There are 25 km (15 mi) of hiking trails for all skill-levels, and the park is located in a protected and biodiverse area. Scuba divers from around the world come to nearby Tod Inlet because of the marine life it holds.
