August 2008 — "Jasper National Park is an expansive and beautiful Rocky Mountain park which I felt privileged to enjoy for three days. Much is accessible by car, which is great for just a short time there. We managed to see Maligne Canyon--an impressive narrow rift in the rock plunging 50 metres down, various lakes, a coyote, numerous elk, a black bear and even a grizzly! The varied terrain offers unlimited adventures along hiking, biking and horse trails, and driving the park's roads, especially the Icefield Parkway, demands frequent stops for never-ending photo opportunities."

Its scenery is rugged, including deeply gouged Maligne Canyon and picturesque Maligne Lake.
