Description
The pier was originally built in 1881 by a group of San Francisco business men, and was primarily used as a shipping point for south county agriculture. After sustaining major damage from storms in 1983, the current pier was rebuilt in 1924 and boasts 1,370 feet of boardwalk as well as several cantilevered fishing decks. Many fishing and clamming opportunities are available from the pier.
