Opened in 1990, the purpose of the Musee Acadien du Quebec a Bonaventure (Acadien Museum of Quebec at Bonaventure) is to tell the story of Bonaventure and the Acadiens who fled deportation and founded the town in 1760. The museum also has a number of temporary exhibits showcasing current cultural trends of the area.
