Shakespeare in the Park
The annual Shakespeare in the Park festival, held in Central Park, draws some of the biggest names in dramatic performance and is a widely respected thespian event, celebrating the timeless works of the Bard.
Emerald Nuts Midnight Run
This annual New York Road Runners New Year's Eve event provides a healthy start to the New Year as well as plenty of fun. The party starts at the Central Park Bandshell with a DJ and dancing from 10pm and a costume contest and parade from 11pm. At midnight, runners start the four-mile fun run under a spectacular fireworks display. Advanced registration is required at the New York Road Runners (not at the park). All race participants receive a t-shirt and souvenir.
