Each year, the Monterey Fairgrounds host the Monterey County Fair. In addition to this event, the fairgrounds host numerous other events throughout the year.

Monterey County Fair

This five-day annual event has been in place since 1935 and includes horse shows for children and adults. There are also three stages of entertainment, carnival rides and games, pony rides, a children's art and activities area, food from around the world and wine tasting.
Monterey Jazz Festival
