Fort Heritage Precinct
Experience history up close at the Fort Heritage Precinct in Fort Saskatchewan. Located just 15 minutes from Edmonton, this attractions features three distinct areas: The Northwest Mounted Police Fort which was in operation from 1875-1885, the historic village which dates from 1902 to the late 1920s and the Warden's Residence built in 1937. Visitors are free to walk the grounds, however a guide is required to explore the buildings. A guides will show visitors all of the fantastic artifacts and tell the amazing and awe-inspiring stories of life in Fort Saskatchewan. A tour of the entire site takes 1.5 hours. From May long weekend to September long weekend, the precinct is open Monday through Saturday and during the winter months it is open Monday through Friday. Hours are 10am to 4pm.
