Beacon Hill Park is a 183-acre park that occupies a good portion of downtown Victoria. Owned by the city since 1882, it is flanked by major roads Cook Street, Dallas Road and Douglas Street. There are many features here including gardens, a petting zoo, concert shell and cricket grounds. Visitors can spend hours walking around or lounging on the grass enjoying a picnic. Many events also take place within the park throughout the summer.

Heritage DanceFest

Presented in part by the Veselka Ukrainian dancers, this free event features over 400 dancers from a multitude of cultures to celebrate Victoria's multiculturalism. Performances run from noon to 7pm on the Cameron Bandshell.
Annual Father's Day Ceilidh in the Park

Take pop to this afternoon Ceilidh at Beacon Hill Park and enjoy Celtic music, fiddlers and singing. This kitchen party takes place at the Cameron Bandshell from 1:30 to 3:45pm.
