Together with walkers and runners from Halifax to Victoria we join together to Tie ‘em up for men. This year we hope that you become part of our national effort to raise $1,000,000 to aid in the prevention and cure of Prostate Cancer.
Our Mission:
Prostate Cancer Canada raises funds for the development of programs related to awareness, public education, advocacy, support of those affected, and research into the prevention, detection, treatment and cure of prostate cancer.
The threat of prostate cancer for men is far greater than is commonly known. 1 in 7 men will be diagnosed with the disease, and this is expected to rise to 1 in 4 within a decade.
Taste of Calgary

Light The Night Calgary

Light the Night is unique in that it is a twilight walk that features participants carrying illuminated balloons, cancer supporters carry red balloons, patients and cancer survivors carry white balloons, and gold balloons are carried by those walking in memory of a loved one. Each balloon is a beacon of hope to commemorate and celebrate lives touched by cancer. This walk takes place at Eau Claire Market in Calgary.
Light The Night is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s of Canada's major fundraiser and takes place each September across 68 regions across North America “take steps” to raise money for research, advocacy and patient services.

Investors Group Thanksgiving Memory Walk/Run

Step up for dementia! The Investors Group Thanksgiving Memory Walk and Run is set for 10am to 12 noon at Eau Claire Market. As a growing Thanksgiving tradition in Calgary, the event consists of a 5K Walk and 10K Run, and features plenty of great prizes for participants and pledge-getters. However, the real reason people participate each year is reflected in the theme “Celebrate. Share. Remember.”
All funds raised support leading edge dementia care programs and services provided in this area by the Alzheimer Society of Calgary.
Halloween Howl Calgary

Halloween Howl will take place in Eau Claire Market at 10am. Participants can either do the 10 km Run, 5 km Run/Walk, 10 km/5 km Teams Run, or 3 km Fun Run/Walk. This is a Halloween themed event and costumes are encouraged. Proceeds of this event go to the ADF - Diabetes Research.
Santa Shuffle Calgary

The Santa Shuffle will take place in Eau Claire market at 10am. Participants can choose to do the 5 km Fun Run or the 1 km Elf Walk. Run or walk as an individual, family team or corporate team. There will be post event refreshments, awards and prizes. The Santa Shuffle raises money for The Salvation Army's Christmas Appeal through runners and walkers being sponsored by their friends and families.
Give a Little Knit for L'Arche Calgary
