Description
Stampede Park is a versatile and multi-purpose facility that hosts many events in addition to the Calgary Stampede. The park includes the Pengrowth Saddledome, the Roundup Centre, the Stampede Coral, the Stampede Casino, Stampede Racing Park, the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, the Agricore Grain Academy, several souvenir shops and more. A self-guided tour book is available at Stampede Headquarters (1410 Olympic Way SE).

Indian Village

Indian Village celebrates the history and culture of the First Nations people and is held during the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede. Visitors can enjoy a traditional Pow Wow with a First Nations dance competition featuring dancers in full, colourful regalia. A drumming competition also takes place. Other activities at Indian Village includes cultural demonstrations, interpretive displays, 27 tipis, traditional crafts and jewelry for sale, and a bannock booth selling traditional treats made from dough. The village has been an integral part of the Calgary Stampede since 1912. Entrance is included in Stampede gate admission.
Calgary Stampede Rodeo

The famous Rodeo portion of the Calgary Stampede takes place daily at 1:30 pm. This tournament-style rodeo focuses on six major events: Bareback, Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling and Tie-Down Roping. Sunday features the culminating showdown of the top two competitors in each category.

Western Heritage Day: Calgary Stampede

Admission to the Stampede grounds for the young-at-heart aged 65 or older is free all day on Western Heritage Day. From 8-10am seniors are offered free coffee, juice and donuts in the Stampede Corral.
BMO Kids Day: Calgary Stampede

BMO Kids Day at the Stampede celebrates kids with free admission from 6-9am for those aged 12 and under and their accompanying adults. Popular highlights of this day include the free pancake breakfast from 8-9:30am and the free morning show in the Grandstand starting at 8:15am.
GMC Rangeland Derby: Calgary Stampede
