October 2010 — "As a native Calgarian I'm embarrassed to admit that it had been about 15 years since I had visited the Glenbow Museum. I think I had last gone in High School and I'm in my 30s now! On a crisp October Saturday afternoon my husband and I decided that it was about time we head to the museum, especially since he has lived here for 10 years and had not yet visited it. It only cost us $14 each to get in, which is VERY reasonable I think... especially since going to a movie rivals that price. The museum sure has changed over the last 15 years... I recognized only a few of the exhibits and was pleased with the many new displays. The second floor has a variety of art work from around the world, and when we went there was a Columbian artist featured. The third floor is full of memorabilia from the Wild West, pioneering, mining and the oil industry. The top floor had minerals and war memorabilia. We spent just over three hours there and I must say, that in order to properly take in all the displays you really should visit several times. By the time we got to the fourth floor, our feet and legs hurt and our eyes were getting blurry from reading. Definitely an educational visit and a great way to spend the afternoon while learning a little about our culture and others."

March 2006 — "The Glenbow is a great Calgary museum. It has a ton of interesting constant and changing exhibits. You can spend a fair amount of time at the museum as it is so large."

The Glenbow Musem houses a collection of nearly 30,000 artworks and artifacts including historic, modern and contemporary works. In addition, three floors of the museum feature permament displays of native culture and history, European settlement and the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Changing exhibits are on display regularly. The Glenbow is the largest museum in Western Canada. A museum shop, a library, archives and a café are also located within the building.
