You are invited to attend our National Meeting Industry Day (NMID) Celebrations! As meeting and event professionals we need to be proud of the contribution our industry makes to our communities. April 19 is an opportunity for planners and suppliers to join together to celebrate who we are and what we do. NMID has been celebrated across Canada for 16 years in eight major cities. Canada's second largest event is in Edmonton where we will be hosting a breakfast celebration at the Shaw Conference Centre. This will be a time to connect with other professionals, to draw attention to the value of our local industry and to hear from our keynote speaker.
We are thrilled to have the a new panel format with:
Ron Gilbertson, President and CEO of Edmonton Economic Development Corporation
Bruce Okabe, CEO of Travel Alberta
Simon O'Byrne, Chair of the Downtown Vibrancy Task Force and a Senior Principal at Stantec
They will be delivering a panel presentation about "Major Trends Meeting And Event Professionals Don't Dare Ignore" during our morning celebrations.
All proceeds from this year's event will be donated to support the food recovery program recently launched by Edmonton's Food Bank.
