This family friendly event will also have a large children's play area which will include traditional children's games, clowns, and educational activities. This is a day you don't want to miss!
Walk A Mile in Her Shoes
TBA
The YWCA Walk A Mile in Her Shoes fundraising event helps women and their children take steps to walk away from family violence. Although family violence is a very serious matter, this is a fun and light-hearted event. On event day join local celebrities and other concerned men by strapping on high heels to find out what it is like to "Walk A Mile in Her Shoes." Shoes and lunch will be provided, so all you have to do is register as an individual, create your own team or join an existing team and come strut your stuff. Only men can register to participate, however we know from experience that women play a huge part in this event by encouraging men to take part, assisting them in fundraising to reach their goal and cheering them on during the event.
This is a donation-based event with no registration fee. The recommend goal per participant is $1,000 which will help us to reach our goal of $300,000 that much faster.
So join us from 11am to 2pm at Olympic Plaza to “Walk A Mile in Her Shoes!”
Calgary Corporate Challenge Human Bonspiel
TBA
The Calgary Corporate Challenge Human Bonspiel is curling with a twist! Olympic Plaza will be transformed into a giant human curling rink, where the people become the rocks and hurtle themselves down the ice, heading for the house with the goal of landing on the button. Hurry Hard!
