August 2008 — "The Lussier Hot Springs in Whiteswan Provincial Park are well-worth checking out. The first time I went I wasn't sure what to expect but found them to be a nice balance between developed, commercialized hot springs and completely undeveloped, hard to get to, unappealing ones. The springs are right off the forestry road so they're easy to get to and a few facilities have been put in place such as primitive toilets/changing rooms and a graveled path down to the springs. Don't let these little 'developments' put you off though. At the springs/pools themselves, which sit beside a river, there is not a piece of concrete in sight but rather four or five pools formed entirely by rock walls. Each pool varies in temperature (the highest one - that closest to the actual spring - is the hottest and as more river water is mixed with the spring water, each lower pool is a bit cooler, but still warm.) The pools are very shallow and have 'floors' of fine gravel/rock so they are very comfortable to lie/sit/walk in. They are not large either and in summer they can be busy but when I've been, the area has always been clean and thoroughly enjoyable. Much nicer than Radium Hot Springs, which - let's face it - basically just feels like a generic heated swimming pool. "
