The small lake is home to ducks and Canada geese in the summer, and is a wonderful place to skate in the winter. The Heritage Ampitheatre provides an open air venue for live performances.

Run Wild For Wildlife

Run Wild For Wildlife is an annual fundraiser for the Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Edmonton (WRSE).

All funds raised go towards supporting the work of WRSE: caring for injured and orphaned wildlife, providing free in-class presentations for elementary students, and fielding thousands of calls regarding concerns about wildlife in the community.
Servus Heritage Festival
Servus Heritage Festival has been taking place for over 30 years and showcases Canada’s vibrant multicultural heritage; over 50 pavilions represent more than 85 cultures from all over the world and festival-goers can sample culinary delicacies, see creative performances, shop for crafts, artwork, and clothing, or learn about present-day communities in Canada. The annual event is held over three days at the end of July/beginning of August.
Annual Edmonton Rock Music Festival
Taking place at the Heritage Amphitheatre in Hawrelak Park, this event will deliver a powerhouse of rock music superstars.
Proceeds from the Edmonton Rock Music Festival will benefit the society’s Centre for Art & Music (CAM). Launched in 2010, the centre’s programs are mentoring a new generation of musicians with a special focus on at-risk youth.

Silver Skate Festival
The annual Silver Skate Festival features art, culture, recreation, and sports programming. Enjoy skate races, winter sports demos, a Heritage Village, the Silver Skate Folk Trail, live performances, as well as snow and fire sculptures. This is a free event for all ages.
Run Wild for Wildlife
This annual events offers something for everyone. Individual, family and teams can enter a 5k run or a 2.5k walk.

All proceeds from this run will benefit the Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Edmonton.
