This museum is dedicated to promoting awareness of the history and culture of Sampson county, and to preserve this knowledge for generations to come. Bunting Log Cabin is located on the grounds of the museum, which was built in 1750, making it one of the oldest buildings in North Carolina. Visitors can explore a 1916 mobile jail, a 1941 Ford fire truck, a 70-year-old outhouse, and Civil War, WWI and WWII artifacts.
