Heyburn State Park

This state park is the oldest in the Pacific Northwest, created in 1908. It consists of 5,500 acres of land and 2,300 acres of water, including three lakes, Chatcolet, Benewah, and Hidden Lakes. Before it was a park, this site was a gathering ground for the Coeur d' Alene Indian tribe.
