This 280-acre (113-ha) historical site is most famous for its 19th century residents, the Warner family, and for the Great Chain that was stretched across the Hudson River during the Revolutionary War. Visitors can tour the Warner House and ruins of the Revolutionary War fortifications from June to September, as well as explore the many hiking trails located on the island.
