April 2008 — "At least once a year I try and visit the hot springs. They are so relaxing. The water is soothing and hot, but not too hot where it's unbearable to sit in. The springs are great place to sit back, stay warm and take in the spectacular view of the mountains. If heading to Banff, put the hot springs on your check list!"

February 2008 — "After moving to Banff, one of the first things I had to try was the hot springs. I’ve heard of them, seen pictures, but never experienced them before. And what a wonderful experience it was. There is nothing better than soaking in the soothing waters while enjoying the beautiful view of the mountains. The change rooms were clean and spacious, and there is an indoor hallway that leads you right into the pool so you don’t have to freeze outside before getting in! It can get pretty busy later on in the day, but on a weekday morning the pool had only a few other people and was very quiet and relaxing; perfect for someone who doesn’t like large crowds. I will most definitely be coming here again. "

February 2007 — "Banff Upper Hot Springs is great winter therapy. Unlike most people in Banff, I am yet to get into snow sports (I am not from a place where it snows) but this large hot spring is a big drawcard to the area for me and totally worth the one and a half hour drive from Calgary. The main building is warm, has large, clean changing rooms and a cafe. Access to the pool outside is directly from the changing rooms. Both times I have been there it has been pretty crowded, which is the downside, but we manage to find a spot by the edge to relax. Generally the crowd is pretty quiet with relaxed conversation, even the kids seem relatively mellow. So despite the population it is still very relaxing. The water temperature is perfectly hot and the surrounding peaks are beautiful through the steam. I think Banff Upper Hot Springs will play an important part in my survival through my first complete Calgary winter. "
