Spanning 10.5 acres (4.25 h) of lower Manhattan, this urban oasis takes its name from New York's former governor and vice president, Daniel D. Tompkins. In addition to being home to robust greenery, there are several monuments in the park, including the Temperence Memorial Fountain and the Samuel S. Cox memorial.
