August 2008 — "Yellowstone National Park is a must-see. The oldest national park in the world, it offers up some eerie, beautiful and just plain strange ancient landscapes. With a high concentration of spectacular geysers, including the world's most famous--Old Faithful--the steaming, arid ground is reminiscent of another planet. In these thermal areas, the parched terrain, splashed with white, orange and yellow and punctuated with bright blue pools, carries an air of suspense (as well as a sulphuric stench!) as you imagine the turbulent earth bubbling beneath your feet. This strange landscape, combined with dry, yellow plains, gaping canyons, beautiful rivers, hardy forests and plentiful wildlife (of which we saw coyotes, a wolf, moose, elk, a pronghorn and numerous burly bison) really makes Yellowstone an unforgettable experience, and like no other place I've seen before. April 2007 — "I could spend over a week in this massive park and still come back for more. If you’re interested in nature, most specifically wildlife, beautiful scenery and geological features you’ll be in heaven in Yellowstone. My last visit saw some spectacular thermal features mushrooming out of the ground, bright white calcium carbonate waterfalls and the privilege to see a black bear cub and mother. This on top of seeing the geyser ‘Old Faithfull’ blow its top I’m guessing some 100 feet into the air almost like clockwork every couple of hours. These treats, plus the excitement of seeing numerous elk, deer and sharing the road with the kings of the park - the roaming buffalo. "

BulletDescription

As the first and oldest National Park in the world, Yellowstone's 2 million-plus acres are visited by more than 4 million people annually. Home to more geothermal activity (geysers and hotsprings) than the rest of the world combined, other natural attractions include Yellowstone River's Grand Canyon, fossil forests, and Yellowstone Lake. The abundant species of wildlife includes grizzly bears, bison, trumpeter swans, wolves, and more. Choose from a long list of available activities, or view the park's most popular geyser, Old Faithful.
