Arkansas visitors wanting to learn and experience the heritage of the Ozark Mountains can do so with the help of the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View. Visitors can learn such arts as wood stove cooking, black-smithing, and lye soap making or learn to play the dulcimer, autoharp, or how to dance a jig. The center is open year round but special sessions in March offer hands-on, in-depth studies with master craftsmen.
