October 2008 — "Montmorency Falls are a drive outside of Quebec City, but they are worth the trip. I saw the falls in the autumn, so the leaves on the trees next to the falls were in beautiful shades of reds and yellows. If you are a keen photographer like me, then I really recommend going in October to see the falls. Make sure to take time to stare into the large rainbow that graces the end of the waterfall."

From a height of 83 metres (272 feet), which is one and a half times higher than Niagara Falls, 35,000 litres of water cascade down the Chute-Montmorency (Montmorency Falls) each second. A cablecar system, bridges, belvederes and hiking/cycling/snowshoeing trails have been installed to allow visitors to see the falls from different angles. At the top of the cablecar line, the Manoir Montmorency offers fine dining, gift shops and meeting facilities. In winter, ice climbing and tobogganing are popular. The falls are located between Beauport and Boischatel.
