August 2009 — "Butterfield Acres is your children's story books coming alive! I wish there was a place like this when I was a kid!
They have every type of animal you could want! And the best part is that you can go right inside the pens with most of the animals! The animals are so friendly; it is obvious that they have been raised by people who love them! I went with my sister and my nephew and he just loved it! The staff were really helpful and knowledgeable! They explained about the different types of hay the animals eat and how to properly care for them! The only issue is now my nephew wants a sheep for his birthday..."

July 2009 — "I have been told by my friends and family for the last few years to take my kids to Butterfield Acres. Well, after years of not getting around to it, we went last weekend for a birthday party! I now know what all the fuss was about! Butterfield Acres is AMAZING! I couldn’t believe how many animals and activities they had! I have 4 kids ranging from age 2-10 and they all loved it. There were pony rides and the kids loved singing songs on the wagon ride out into the pasture! We had a picnic and relaxed in the shade! They finally had to ask us to leave at 4 so the animals could have their dinner! This day was well worth the price of admission! We will be back!"

"Priceless Memories!"

June 2009 — "We took our twin girls to Butterfield Acres last month! Wow!!! The place is incredible! We were there for 3 hours and still didn’t get to see everything! We went on the tractor ride and played in the park. We did the pony rides about 4 times! I didn’t think my girls would go for the goat milking but they both tried it, I was so impressed because I was too afraid to!
The photos we got are priceless. Thank you Butterfield Acres we will be back for more!

"Pumpkin Hunt is Lots O' Fun"

October 2006 — "For the past two years, I've taken my two sons (ages two and four) on the Butterfield Acres pumpkin hunt. I think it's a great way to spend a morning and I'd highly recommend it. The hunt includes a tractor ride, short pumpkin hunt, pumpkin decorating, and some free time in the park and petting zoo. My one piece of advice would be to dress warmly and in layers. It can get mighty chilly."

DescriptionButterfield Acres is a hands-on farm that is enjoyable for children of all ages! Pony rides, goat milking, and tractor rides are just some of the activities that visitors can participate in while visiting the farm yard. Their famous pumpkin hunts run all throughout October, a special event that kids will remember for a long time.

Off we go on the tractor-pulled hay wagon, rolling through the crunchy fall leaves just hoping to find some... kid-sized pumpkins! Once we find some, we'll bring them back and decorate them into creative pumpkin-head masterpieces! While the glue sets up, everyone can have a visit with their favorite animal friends in the farmyard. It's harvest fun at it's best! This makes one of those 'parties to remember'! And of course, all the children have their wonderful pumpkin to take home!
Be sure to dress for the weather and bring along the camera to catch the expressions of delight and discovery!
And... wear something orange to celebrate the spectacular fall season!
Timing?? ....the hunt and decorating usually take 40 - 50 minutes, and then whatever time you'd like to spend in the farmyard.....we see most folks spend 1.5 to 2 hours with us. You must be here at least 15 minutes before your hunt so we have everyone together so the hunts can run on time.
