March 2009 — "I expected something spectacularly cheesey judging from the brochure I've seen of this place. But I was pleasantly surprised! Taking part in the Be a Tourist in your Own Town, I had a coupon to come here for free, but probably never would have otherwise. Now, I would actually recommend that people come here, especially if you have any interest in history. The bulk of the displays are models of various battles or historic cities and towns. It is interesting to see how a battle or certain era looked. Some of the detail in the models are amazing, and it helps if you crouch down to get a look in through the windows in little houses etc. There is also a good selection of dollhouses, each, I am sure, lovingly decorated with the tiniest of details, from mini-chandeliers to miniature toilets! Kids will particularly enjoy their fairy-tale section, where some famous tales are illustrated, such as Snow White."
