Housed in historic McKay Avenue School, a Provincial Historic Resource and the site of the first session of the Alberta Legislature in 1906, the museum includes a 1920s classroom, a 1950s classroom and the restored legislative Chamber. Archival holdings date from 1881. Edmonton’s first public school, built in 1881, is also on site. Free admission. Winter (Sept - May)hours: Tue - Fri 12:30 pm - 4 pm. Summer (May - Sept)hours Tue - Fri 12:30 pm - 4 pm; Wed until 9 pm; Sun 1 pm - 4 pm; closed hol. wknds.
